About ST4I

ST4I is an innovative start-up recently established. Competence, Innovative Ideas as well as both Enabling Technologies development and Detailed Design Control attitude are believed of

paramount importance for ST4I. That is the main reason for the presence in the company of owners - individuals and SMEs - exhibiting excellent technical background gained through the

participation to the most important Space R&D and Commercial European programs over last 40 years.

As above mentioned, the identified setup team permits ST4I to autonomously manage the whole set of the project development phases, being operational over the entire value chain, from the initial offer preparation to the product manufacturing process and test passing through all models and qualification processes. ST4I is therefore in the position to well manage and address all the necessary competences in terms of state-of-art electrical design, thermomechanical analysis, passive and active components and equipment, technology assessment and

future needs as well as devices integration and test.

ST4I capabilities and objectives have been already presented at top management level of both

European Space Agency (ESA) and Italian Space Agency (ASI) as well as to several industries operating in the space framework.

Being ST4I recently started there is not yet a consolidated formal Company background. However, for the specific role of ST4I in the present project, it is believed essential the knowledge as well as the work experience and in this respect the ST4I key-persons CVs provide he necessary information.

One subject of excellence present in ST4I is certainly the identification of innovative antenna architectures as well as the extreme quality of the associated electromagnetic analyses and

optimization. In this respect, ST4I recently received by ESA a dedicated Contract “Efficient Waveguide Power Combining Structure” having as main topic the goal of the optimum electric

field uniform distribution within a specified waveguide.

ST4I employs at the present two staff members and ad-hoc consultants with the requested experience while planning to grow in the immediate future. In any case, as already stated above,

the already existing presence of four SMEs as owners of ST4I is believed fundamental since now in terms of general resources availability for several opportunities, giving also to ST4I the main role of strategic partner, tutor and team coordinator.

ST4I ownership is composed of L. Russo (35%), G. Ruggerini (35%), SDS s.r.l. (7.5%), NHOE s.r.l.

(7.5%), NOW s.r.l. (7.5%), ANTECNICA s.r.l. (7.5%).

In addition to the above, a dedicated partnership with Rome 2nd University / MECSA has been recently signed therefore enlarging the technical base and providing opportunities for students

and young engineers as well.
